The following is a short film produced by the Hakka Cultural Office of Taiwan to promote Hakka heritage. This film, “Hakka loves you", received wide acclaim in Taiwan and the general Chinese community, not for the apparent Hakka heritage it tried to convey, but for the implicit filial love between the generations. Although this film does not have English subtitle, viewers can sense the bond between the grandma and grandson from their gaze and interactions. |
