Accounting responsibilities will include:
All Quickbooks input
Bank statement reconciliation
Calculate and pay sales tax on a timely basis
Assist with outside audits
Other required taxes and reporting
3-5 years experience
Experience using QuickBooks
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for payroll, property, sales, and other tax requirements
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
High School degree required, additional education preferred
Nike’s Sr. Director of Global Talent Acquisition is coming to DU to meet with students on Feb. 5 from 1 to 2 PM to talk about the Nike Ignite Internship program.
The program is a 12 week full-time summer internship opportunity consisting of 145 undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of majors who work at the Nike World headquarters from June to August. It provides exposure to real-life projects on global issues, networking, a Nike executive speaker series and interaction with other interns from other local companies such as intel, Wieden and Kennedy. The interns work in cross-functional teams focused on real world Nike business challenges.

The company is seeking a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant has an integral role in the month end close process pertaining to recording monthly journal entries related to prepaid assets, fixed assets, other assets, liabilities, intercompany accounts and allocations. The month end process also includes analysis of accounts, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, identification and resolution of issues as well as research and response to inquiries.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing monthly journal entries, complete certain account reconciliations of the USA companies general ledger accounts, provide support for the internal and external quarterly audits of the company’s financial statements and completion of other projects as required.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-3 years of experience.
The individual must be a quick learner, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point. Knowledge of NetSuite Accounting software a plus. The person must be able to solve problems, be a self-starter and communicate effectively to the Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance.
This position reports to the Corporate Controller.
